One of Grind Athletics’ first full-time training success stories is Jack Radel. Starting at age 13, Jack worked tirelessly through our program, developing into a standout athlete. By his senior year of high school, he was throwing 98 mph, earning a 4th-round pick in the MLB Draft and a spot at the University of Notre Dame to play college baseball.
Ethan Biggar joined Grind Athletics as a junior pitcher topping out at 82 mph with a decent curveball and slider but no changeup. Through dedicated training, he increased his velocity to 92.6 mph, developed a dominant curveball-slider mix, and mastered an effective changeup. Beyond the mound, Ethan grew stronger in the weight room, earning a commitment to play college baseball at the highly respected Iowa Central Community College.
Joel Van De Stroet came to Grind Athletics as a senior pitcher topping 86 mph but struggling with arm pain and issues. In just eight months, he eliminated his arm pain, increased his velocity to 91 mph, and refined his slider and changeup. Joel’s hard work earned him a spot at Augustana University, one of the nation’s top D2 baseball programs.
Brayson Fox joined Grind Athletics at 14 to fix his mechanics and throw pain-free, addressing bicep tendonitis. Through focused training, he improved his arm path for more efficient, pain-free throwing. Along the way, Brayson achieved a personal record, topping 79 mph as a left-handed 14-year-old pitcher—a remarkable feat for his age.
